Louise Mullan

I am a holistic psychiatrist with comprehensive experience in the treatment of a wide variety of mental health challenges. I maintain a varied psychiatric practice and have a special interest in treating anxiety and panic in addition to the stress of the demands work schedules and parenting. I have a particular interest in incorporating mindfulness meditation and exercise into treatment in addition to medication when necessary. I have obtained formal training in CBT from the Beck Institute and provide psychodynamic therapy as part of my eclectic approach to care. 

In addition to my private practice, I am on Faculty at NYU Langone where I am the Director of the Bellevue Mobile Crisis Unit, which provides emergency mental health crisis services to individuals throughout Manhattan. I teach psychiatry residents at NYU/Bellevue, in addition to forensic psychiatry fellows training at Columbia, NYU, UMDNJ and Albert Einstein. I completed my undergraduate and graduate training at UCL and Glasgow University in the UK, my residency training at St. Vincent's Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospitals and my fellowship training was completed at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
